From the South Kensington Museum Quarter to King’s Road, there is no doubt the borough of Kensington & Chelsea has an incredible offering of museums, galleries and cultural hubs. Over the last weekend of July, we were delighted to further explore this interesting borough through the lens of the Kensington & Chelsea Art Weekend.
Through a series of talks, studio workshops, gallery visits as well as exhibition tours; the Kensington & Chelsea Art Weekend celebrated the creativity and heritage of artists, gallerists and cultural institutions within this borough. Here are our favourite talks from this fantastic weekend:
Catherine Miller Gallery: Importing Colour an Introduction of Latin American Art
The Catherine Miller Gallery is a staple of Hollywood Road. Since the 1950s this family-run gallery has been specialising in Latin American Art from the 1950s through present-day. Gallery Director Catherine Miller and her daughter Cordelia Miller hosted a talk on their experiences working with artists from Latin America, particularly from Argentina and Brazil. The gallery currently works with artists such as: Sofia Neptuno and Claudio Giannini among many others.
